What a great forum
![Exclamation :!:](./images/smilies/icon_exclaim.gif)
It's great to see the respect shown for John Larson. The best people I've met has been because of toys with motors. I had never been into boating. My wife (of 30 years this past Monday) and I had always spent our R&R time on our Harley's. I bought our toon after the murder of our only child in Feb, 2004. He was a Jr. in college. He was completely innocent sleeping in his own bed. A meth head thought he was seeing a girl that the meth head had dated for 2 weeks, 3 months prior. Our son wasn't dating the girl. Anyway, I found our toon at a boat shop on my route ( I was a mobile tool dealer for years). The previous owner bought the toon new and only used it once a year to watch the hydro's race on The Columbia. It was garaged since new too. it was like a new 6 year old boat. I thought party barge would be great therapy, something all friends and family could enjoy. I was right. We ended up moving from our life long home town. I built a home 15 min. from Lake Billy Chinook. It's the perfect lake for tooning. Almost hate to admit that if one toy had to go, it would be the bike, not the toon. Without a doubt the most enjoyable toy we've ever owned. My avatar is a pic. of me and my best friend Wylie. He was my son's dog. He's not much of a sea dog, but I've never had a better buddy. We are pretty much "joined at the hip"

Thanks guy's. Funny, I never have taken a pic. of the toon. As much time as it takes to polish the toons you'd think I would have snapped a pic. at some point. It's supposed to be nice this week-end. I'll get out the camera when I pull the barge out of the garage and get some pic's posted.

Nice to have you with us. Nothing like finding a new 6 year old boat. Tooning an the lake is my therapy, even when I have to cut the grass down there it is still a good trip. Sorry for you loss, so sad when it is something senseless like that. Know what you mean about Wylie being your best friend. I had to put Bandit to sleep about a week ago. He had been with me over 15 years. I still have not broken the habit of looking at the gate when I pull into the driveway. He was always waiting at the gate. Anyway welcome to the forum

Dog people understand you just lost a family member
Too bad that dogs have such a short life span (and some people too long
![Laughing ](./images/smilies/icon_lol.gif)
) Wylie is 10 and is having a hard time with the stairs and has to use a ramp to get in the pickup. Clocks ticking

Thanks for the welcome, happy to be here.

Here's a couple of pic's. Took the barge out today with my wife. She's only 5'1'' but can drive the toon better than most. She can't back a trailer, but she can drive a toon on a trailer, even in a severe wind. It's funny to watch Buba and Buba on the docks thinking a petite woman couldn't ever load a boat. We are always the fastest to load and unload. First trip out this year was today. Of course, there would have to be a dumb ass to make the trip complete. When we loaded up to leave the first exit was partially blocked by a young couple with a car top style boat on a trailer, trying to move the boat on the trailer. I could have had enough room to go around, but I decided to go to the other exit. When I got there a pickup and empty trailer was trying to back up to get around a dumb ass that had parked in the middle of the exit out. The dumb ass and his wife were drying the sides of a large boat and attempting to put a cover over the galley. The tow rig was a GMC pickup with 4 way steering. I usually don't say anything to the many jerks, but I told this one,"next time why don't you just park in the middle of the road". He coped an attitude and told me he didn't have a choice where he parked. The dumb ass could have pulled up the road and taken care of any post boating issue. If it isn't another dumb ass waiting to load gas, coolers, etc when they launch their boats, it another being a jerk when it's time to leave. Sometimes I have to remind myself I'm here to have fun.

Thank you! I wish I had the same setup you have. It must be an option to have folding seats.

It's a Signature Series, maybe that's an entry level package. I also re-sized and re-posted my toon pic's.
