We go up every labor day and stay on the river. I have a bunch of pics to post from this past year. We went into alanson on the crooked river and that was a trip running on plane thru the crooked river. The locks and swings bridge are neat to !

It is really a great place to play for a weekend or week if you have the time. Mullet lake can be a bit of a bitch. In the half dozen times the Wife and I have been to Indian river we have gotten across Mullet once on a calm day. Two years ago we were with the SeaRay, on plane, and a quarter away across when I said 'screw this'. Pounding waves and a flat beverage...done. I turned around and went back to Burt lake to enjoy the calm.
