AKA: Lake Strom Thurmond. Just got back from a 5 day get-a-way, 9.5 HRS with the boat in tow, the segment through Atlanta 85/285 was some pretty frequent white knuckle moments, especially at 430 PM with rain. Then when we got to the lake on Thursday evening at Ft. Gordon MWR recreational area (Points West Army Rec Area) on the lake it was 46 degrees with a 30 MPH NW wind right on our camp site. But the weather improved over the weekend, still cool at night and early in the morning. Water temp @ 69, but really enjoyed the area and expanse of the lake, lots of area to explore.

I've been to a poker run there on a friend's go fast boat. Beautiful lake. Good times.
