Remove stickers and repaint siding?

My 17 year old toon has graphics stickers that are peeling off, look pretty sad. I guess a heat gun and scraper to get them off?
The paint underneath is pretty blah, satin off white. Anybody ever repaint the siding? Really don’t want to remove railings so prefer to repaint after masking off the powder coated railings.
Any thoughts from experience?
