I purchased a complete suite of Veada furniture for my rebuild from their "clearance" bin. The price was excellent although the quality of their vinyl is REALLY, really bad. It looks and feels great, but will cut, tear, scuff and snag easily. It is the worst junk I have ever seen. A major rip off. :x

Even though I got a smoking deal I wish I spent the big bucks for a truly durable fabric like polyurethane Ultraleather Brisa instead.

I'm no welder or metal worker at all. As far as bending, the only places that will have bends are the four corners, my fencing will be very plain and basic design since I'm wanting to wrap the panels with a vinyl graphic wrap. I seen a guy make a plywood jig and clamp the tubeing to it and after careful heating and elbow gresse he had nice uniform bends. Maybe I'll get lucky though and find a square tubing bender when the time comes...

Ron, you are the first guy I've ever heard a bad comment from with veada... IMO looking at all the furniture that's available it's still got my vote!

I wonder if Veada has changed material or the "clearance" stuff was a different type? The vinyl samples that I have ordered seem to be of pretty nice quality.

Possibly, I just received a bunch of samples myself and I'm impressed. On my last build I had white seats with red and charcoal stripes, the only color that dident have problems was the charcoal. So I'm almost 100% set on going with a grey on my new seats with black stripe and I liked the red accent stripe but I'm afraid of fading.... I love the veada bench that has the cup holders built into the arm rest, perfect place for a led is right above the cup holder hidden behind the cushion.

Here's an example of the color combo I'm considering... I really want the red but I might change it to black

Looks good. The red has a nice "sporty" look to it I think. I'm a big fan of red and black color schemes (hence my truck style)

The one thing I don't like about the Veada furniture is it looks like all of the bases are curved at the bottom. This limits speaker placement quite a bit unless you want to do some custom bezels.

Right now we're leaning towards a French vanilla Base, with black and the cordero cafe (beige / brown) color accents.

Thanks, I think it looks good also. I think something like your talking about would look better but after all the saltwater fishing I did last year light colored interior just won't cut it for us. That's true about the seat bases though, I was planning on putting my speakers in the lean back loungers and in a few other things I'm going to build! Some of the benches have a built in speaker hole but it's only a 4-1/2" I think.

Good news, I've found a guy that does custom aluminum fabrication for boats and he has a tubeing bender with the square dies. Now that I've got that off my chest I can concentrate on the boat show that will be here in 5 days :biggrin2 :biggrin2 :biggrin2

When I did my rebuild almost 4 yrs ago I bought all my furniture from Veada in White & Blue. I have not had a single problem with it in any way. I put 303 on it as suggested by the mfg & apply it about 3 times a year. So far so good. I had looked at other furniture but based on the quality & the advice of several upholstery guys I know I went with Veada. Very pleased with their products & customer service as well.

That's good to hear the positive first hand review. Getting ready to pull the trigger in a week or two on stuff from them

Good to know, I'm going with them for sure I just need some time before I can put my order in. I might have to do the furniture in 2 steps because of the price! :scared

If you were at this boat show and were able to get a picture of the bow hook / eyelet that the winch straps hooks to (on a South Bay Tritoon), would you mind to send or post it?

I'm pretty sure that the winch doesn't just strap to the tri-toon log eye in the front.

Sure I'll look when I get to go, but normally all the boats are sitting on the floor not on trailers. I have a picture of a brand new Bennington tritoon that's sitting on a bad ez loader executive edition trailer and he has his hooked up on the eyelet on the center tube, I'm pretty sure it's ok

That's where it goes. It's called a lifting eye for a reason...they acutally use them to lift complete boats in the air to load/unload. As long as it's a straight pull (not to the port or starboard side) you will be fine.
Just one boat...after another, after another :-)

Thanks guys. I guess I had just assumed that since it was going to be pulling on the eye forward instead of lifting that there was some other process.

I'll end this thread hijack. Sorry.
