Dark seats???

I saw a picture of a pontoon with dark gray seats with black accents. I thought it looked sharp! Has anyone any experience with dark seats? Are the hotter? Do they last as long? Do they not show grime as much?

Also, if I go with dark seats, it's almost impossible to find a helm to match. Everything seems to be standard beige or light gray. I'd like something different.

I had black accents on my last boat and they got a lot hotter than the white parts. I've got no doubt that any very dark color will be awfully hot. :devillol

On a side note....you can paint the helm any color you like. There are paints for any material.

Good luck,
Dave

I have white seats with a Black accent, most the time they are fine, but when its hot out and the sun has been out for a few hrs they get good and hot, usally end up putting a towel down, I will say with a wet swim suit or if you just got out of the lake you wont notice it. They cool off very quickly.

There are many reasons we've installed white terry-cloth covers on all our seats.
