Heck, seenum sitting on crib blocks, 4x4's and even used tires...stable and level is all you need and the level thing is up to you. As long as a beer can can't slide off...level enough
I decided I'm going to use some cinder blocks with wood on top, I may try to shape the supports for the rear of the boat in the shape of a toon, but I may leave it flat as my toons are already flat on bottom in back, I'm not sure if thats by design or someone flattened them lol

I also have a question about the braces on my boat, some of them are very unique and I don't want to re-use them as cutting the plywood to fit in the slot seems wrong, the original floor has what seems to be fiberglass strips over the top of the braces to make the floor even? not sure why they did that. Has anyone re-used this kind of brace on their boat? I have to buy some more braces anyways to replace the whole rear of the boat for the fiberglass transom I'm tearing out, figure I'll just buy extra to replace those braces.

I haven't seen them before, definitely dictates the wood thickness you need. Is that fiberglass or just old thick glue on the joint?

It has fibers in it like fiberglass but it could be glue I guess, either way that's not how I'm putting it back together

When it comes to buying those aluminum braces, is there a go-to place? I'm having trouble locating some.

I have those same joint braces on my 07 G3. I did not re-use them. Not only are they a pain to re-use, considering the precise routing that would need to be done to fit the new plywood into them, but also the new plywood I got (from PontoonStuff) is thicker, so I would have had to router the top AND the bottom more precisely than I am likely able to. I know that any part that gets mistakenly routed too wide or too deep would very likely transfer that gap through the vinyl flooring, and since I am doing a full rebuild of the deck, a glaring mistake like that was intolerable to me.

Mine are 2-1/2" 'tall' and I got mine here. They have 8' or 12' stock lengths available and various widths of course. There may have been other alternatives but I couldn't find any stocks in 2.5" widths elsewhere without a special order.

I finally got the trailer out from under the boat, the cinder blocks worked well. I also spent half the day and took the fiberglass transom off, MY GOODNESS was it HEAVY! I had to cut it up to load it in my truck and even the smaller part was surprisingly heavy.

Well this project ended in me selling it, I got laid off my job and couldn't justify this project. I've since bought a different pontoon, I'll start a new post on it.

Hate that it didn't work out. Hope things are going better now. I look forward to your new thread.
