Need to improve the look of the aluminum around the deck
It is very beat up. I have been looking at some paints. Anyone ever painted them. I suppose I could sand them also. What have you done?

Either a self etching primer like Rustoleum then paint, or powder coat. Powder coat has to be done right or it will fail and look like hell. Paint looks great but scratches easy, but can be re-coated. I opted to paint some low traffic areas(supports and frame} on cabin portion of mine. On the rails I just used the green ScotchBright pads and a bucket of White Vinegar.....they came out looking good...i'd say 80% like new...check out the pics in my build thread.
