Well I do appreciate the input! My feeling is the rails (when bolted down and touching the floor) add to the structural integrity so to speak, especially when it comes to how much the entire boat flexes. My floor supports are pretty flimsy, I tore up most of the plywood today and I'm actually going to buy at least a few different supports, MOSTLY because I got a bit of a nasty surprise and found a couple that are damaged, but since I have to buy a few I'm also going to replace the supports at all the plywood joints. I did buy the spacers! I do not know if I'll use them lol.

Well I've made very little progress lately, I have started on my console, figured out all the wiring on the switch panel, installed the fuse block, radio and the gps speedometer. Turns out my old steering assembly is to big for the current hole so I'll have to open it a bit, also I'm installing the speakers on both sides of the console so I'll have to cut those holes at the same time. My plan is before I mount the console on the boat I'll also install the remote control and the fish finder. Working on it while it sits on my dining room table is easier than out in the heat :biggrin2
