If you were not fishing Richland Chambers you would not have such a problem! LOL
Course you would miss out on one of the best fishing lakes in Texas. Love that lake :nana
I have the 55 lb 12v 55 in. shaft Motor Guide with the remote steering on my 22 ft Gruman. It does OK up to about 20 mph winds but not great. I do love the remote steering from anywhere on the boat. Hope to see you out there sometime!!
You're right there fredeboy! That south wind can be a killer! I like Cedar Creek a lot too, except on the weekends And RC is 25 minutes from my house to Oak Cove. Pretty handy. I just have to re-learn the lake again.

I have a 101 lb thrust, 36 volt Minn Kota Terova with autopilot. It pushes around my 24' Manitou with a 250 H.O. Etec without a problem. I love it!

I've got a wireless motorguide 55# thrust 54" shaft. I like it but I'm gonna sell it soon and replace it with a minn Kota salt water series with a 60" shaft 80# thrust and a tiller. I think the tiller drive will make fishing a lil bit easier for me I'm just not that crazy about the wireless foot control + I need saltwater capability

I just installed a Minn Kota PowerDrive 24V, 70 lb thrust, 54" shaft. Tried it out over the last 2 days, and it pushed my 24' Harris Flotebote all over Richland Chambers with no problem.

I also got the "iPilot" option, which is an amazing piece of work. It provides remote control, but the best feature I used for white bass fishing was the "anchor" feature, which holds the boat in a specific spot---just like an anchor!

Hey fredeboy, I feel your jealousy. I've wanted a troller for my toon for years, and finally bit the bullet. I just got tired of having to start my big Honda every time I had to move with the white bass schools (not to mention the dirty looks I got from the other boats).

Come on over and check out my rig if you get a chance. I'm in Azure Bay, and you can't miss my boat house--the big silver Honda on the back of my toon, and two Honda jet fleas on the rack next to it.

I have a Minn-Kota 24v 70lb with 60" inch shaft and co-pilot, works well so far.

Pulling bottom bouncers at Sask Landing for walleye, in about 3 weeks we are heading there for a week again.
