Dog boarding ladder - Dog on water

#1 Post by JohnO » Thu Sep 06, 2012 12:44 pm

http://www.dogonwaterramp.com/

I wasa out on the boat the other day, taking a kayak tour around my cove (One really cool thing about the toon is that I can fit two kayaks on the front and still have room to play!), when I passed a houseboat and the dog jumped off the front onto a little raft and came out to see me.

Ok that's pretty cool. But the coolestthing is when the owner called to her and she swam back up to the ramp, walked up it and got back on the boat herself!

Talking to the owner she said that the dog had bad hips but she loves the water (Springer Spaniel) so they found this for her so she could get in and out of the water herself.

I remember seeing various threads here about dog ramps and this seemed to be the perfect solution. Check the link

The dog went up and down it a few times. Looked very easy for her to get in the water and onto the boat.

It's $350 and worth every penny. Ranger loves it and for what he gives to me everyday it's a small price to see him have so much fun :nana :nana :nana

Love those dogs that can climb a real ladder. Ranger tries the one on the trailer going up to the deck to the toon when we're getting ready to go. I think he could get up it but he's dog enough I afraid he'd make the long jump to get down.

He uses the ramp until he is seriously tongue dragging dog tired. There's a company here in Bend, Ruff Wear that is national. Jodie made me buy the life vest. He's a great swimmer but I'll admit I think he enjoys swimming more with the vest on. The whole thing makes me laugh watching him. Anchored up, Magma cooking, stereo zooming on a hot sunny day with all three of us (my beautiful wife, Ranger and myself) jumping in and enjoying the water, I sometimes wonder why everyone doesn't toon. :donno
