Re: Anchors and fenders
Take a look at the "small" size box anchor and you'll be very happy with holding power and easy release in sand and muck.
There are lots of opinions on fenders and hangers, but it depends on your specific boat profile and what you need the fenders to do (rafting up, mooring, gas docks, dock type, etc.). EZFender makes a really nice attachment for the rail that you can just loop the fender rope through it and adjust length easily to suit most situations.

Re: Anchors and fenders
You may want to get two anchors for when you anchor up on a beach with one off the bow and one off the stern to keep it straight.
+ 1 on the EZ Fenders.

Re: Anchors and fenders
You didn't say the length of the boat, but I use a fluke type anchor. Many dealers offer a pontoon package that includes the anchor with rode and line.
Here's a link to West Marine anchors: http://www.westmarine.com/webapp/wcs/st ... 1&storeNum
Fenders are all over the place. I use Taylor Made SuperGard 6.5 inch diameter X 22 inch length. Again you can look at West Marine for sizes & prices, but you can probably do better on pricing at other online stores.
Also, I use Perko fender holders that permanently mount to the fencing. There's a guy on the forum that sells the EZ Fender holder and from most user comments, they seem to work pretty well. I had Perko's on my runabout and just like them.
DO NOT skimp on mooring lines! Get the double braided nylon type. They stretch and don't seem to decay or fray like other line.
Good luck and don't forget to post pics of the new toon when you get tit

Re: Anchors and fenders
I use a 15 pound mushroom anchor that works well in mud. Never have a drifting problems. You would probably need a 20lb if you went with this style.

The mushroom anchors work well in lakes with muddy bottoms... I carry two 15# mushrooms on my toon... as for fenders, there's a ton out there, but I use ezfenders as the way to hang my fenders... they mount right to the rail on your boat and couldn't be easier to adjust the height.... last year we went to a little restaurant on the lake in east texas and when we pulled up to the dock, discovered it had 3 different levels... didn't have the ezfenders back then so we had to tie three fenders at three different levels, took a few minutes to get each one at the right height....with ezfender you just pass your fender rope thru the hole til the fender is where you want it and tighten down the thumb screw... viola, your done.

Re: Anchors and fenders
Another plug for the Box Anchor. I've had many anchors over the years but will never be without a box anchor. It is now the only anchor I will ever need on my pontoon. They really built a better mousetrap.

Re: Anchors and fenders
Another vote for the box anchor, especially if you are in a deep water lake. The box anchor holds better than most when the rope is at a steeper angle (like it could be in deep water).

Re: Anchors and fenders
We use bigger diameter (I think 12") bumpers due to the fact that alot of runabouts fit real peculiar against our pontoon. It seems the bumpers want to ride under their railing causing us to hit.

If you plan on camping and anchoring in big water, check out DragQueen Anchor Alarm for your Android, IPhone or IPad.

Consider two anchors if you feel certain the wind or currents will not change while you sleep.
