Dock restoration

#1 Post by OK Toon » Tue Jun 25, 2013 12:52 pm

Just a few pics of the work we've been doing on our boat dock. I had replaced the plywood on the swim side of our dock about 10 years ago. I only used regular decking boards which did not hold up to the elements and the steel floor joists -- the ends of the boards would bust the screw heads and start getting all warped.

So, it was time to pull it all off and do something better.

Here is what it looks like after the 2nd coat. It's hard to see, but it has a nice non-slip texture.

It's not slippery. It's hard to tell in the pics, but there is a texture like you might see around a swimming pool. The stuff is called Restore -- http://rustoleumrestore.com/
