Lowe or Harris

#1 Post by Reiner » Tue Jun 17, 2014 3:20 pm

After looking around and reading here on the forum I would like to get some input. I first was looking at the Tracker but now eyeballing a toon from Harris or Lowe. Both dealers are in considerable distance. The quotes are pretty close but the Lowe dealer is just quicker in responding to any questions I had. Also the quote from Lowe was in to the last detail including tax, license.
The two toons I'm now comparing have both the rear facing lounger, flip up privacy room, 150 HP Mercury w/ hyd strg

2014 Harris Cruiser 200
Performance Pkg PLUS (full center tube, partial skin, strakes, speedo, rough water pkg)-req hyd strg, 200 HP Max

Lowe SS210 Super Sport RFL
OPTIONAL XL PERFORMANCE PACKAGE: 25” center log, rough-water pkg. w/ lifting strakes & spray deflector

Are there particulars to consider between those two?

Thanks for your input.

No question, go with the Harris. It's by far the more popular brand.

While the Lowe is okay, they're not a leader in the pontoon market. They'd sell more pontoons if their seating was up to the standards of other manufacturers. They're just not very comfortable seats.

just took delivery of a 2014 Harris 200 cruiser about a month ago
I love it. quality seems excellent, not one problem with it.
not as fancy as yours as i have a twin tube with a 90 merc but it had
a lot of options including the pillow top interior. definitely looks like a high end boat.
check out the Costco pricing as it was a better deal than any thing else i saw.
let us know what you buy
