Little more information may get you better answers. Where you gonna fish? Ocean, Lake, River. How many people? I have a Minn Kota 80# thrust terrova on the front of mine. Works great for the river current and wind. I also have the remote wireless FOB with the footpedal on it.

Central New York fishing on lakes, st Lawrence seaway, I was thing 54 inch shaft, 75lbs thrust? What about mounting it? Is a 54 inch shaft adequate? My tubes are 25 inch diameter. You recommend quick release mounting bracket? Also what are best night fishing lights? I want to fish at night so I need lights for underwater, and are there any remote spots good for a pontoon boat?

Sorry, I didn't see your post until now. Mine is 54" and it does well, very little to no cavitation. I have had some when both are at the back of the boat and the activity of boats and jet skis are on the water a lot. Very rare are we both at the back of the boat. If you can go 60" I would, you can adjust it. 75lbs thrust should be ok. Again mine is 80 and very rarely put it above a speed of 5. I do use it to cross the river then place it on high speed. I do have the quick release and would not have one without it now. Easy on easy off. I do not use lights at night, only what is needed by law. I use a light on my hat for changing hooks etc. So I cannot help you there.
