I have searched for a video or literature on how to install a solenoid on a 40 horsepower 2 cycle (2002) Tracker by Mercury outboard. I find plenty of things that says "install new solenoid with bolts". I need a little more than that as there is one bolt that I cannot even see, much less install. To ge the old one out I just had to pull it loose from the lower bolt.
Does anyone know the secret of how to access that bolt?
Thanks for any suggestions.

Fairly often on those outboards, you might have to remove your lower cowling to gain better access to stuff. Usually just 3 or 4 screws. Our is your solenoid up higher and just that we'll buried?

The lower bollt on the solenoid is definately buried by the lower cowling. I did not know you could take it off.
Thanks
