Friday is going to be a WINDY Kansas day (as opposed to any other Kansas windy day) and next week the temperatures are going to plummet due to an arctic blast that's headed this way.
I've lived in Kansas long enough to watch out for stuff like this.
They said they were busy getting all the Inboards pulled and winterized but would get to mine ASAP.
Got a wild hair since my schedule changed a bit today, so I headed over to the lake to pull stuff out of the storage locker that I didn't want to leave over the winter.
Got everything taken care of and was enjoying the nice weather when I got another wild hair.
Called over to the dealer and told him I was on the boat and that if he had a spare guy to grab the trailer, I'd putt-putt the boat around to the ramp and save him a bit as he'd only need one guy to pull it instead of two.
He thought that'd work and said he'd send a guy down to the ramp with the trailer. He told me that he might be able to get it done and ready today since I was helping get it out of the water.
I putt-putted around to the ramp, and looked out at open water.
So of course, I just had to
.Did one last speed run out into the main reservoir area and then boogied back into the ramp area just as the trailer got backed down into the ramp.
Got it loaded up first time slick and easy, just aimed for the passenger side tail light of the pickup hooked to my trailer and up the ramp we went.
Didn't take em long to get the boat powerwashed, the motor serviced, oil changed, lower unit oil changed and Stabilized the fuel system. All ready for backing it into my "Toy Box". ( I'm blessed to have a 4500 sq ft building I can store the toon in) Next spring, it's ready to back down the ramp and go.
So after an appointment I had to take care of, back to El Dorado to pick up the now cleaned and serviced Toon, double check that everything was secured and head it home.
Got it backed into the Toy Box, chocked the tires (just in case) and hooked it up to a battery charger/tender so that it'd be sure to have a full charge on the batteries to start the winter.
All in all, not a bad day.
And got to have one last
