Unless this hotlap takes you an awfully long time, not going to get much charge in when the alternator is only 25A.

Yes that looks the same or similar to the one from Wholesale Marine, I did order one yesterday,

as for the hot lap we probably run about 15 min hot lap before about 5 min idle down the channel to lake house.
no problems this past summer but with new boat i would expect no problems.
I will carry the jump start box next summer

Mike you can always toss a battery maintainer on the battery when the boats not in use. Its easier on the battery than a regular charger, because it only charges the battery when it detects it needs a charge. I have 3, one on the boat, the Prowler and my GrassHopper. The batteries are always fresh and ready to go. I just bought another Craftsman for our family Chrismas gift exchange. Mine get stolen by the kids, all the time! So this time, one of them can have their own! It was $28. Well worth the money. I also have dual batteries in the boat, but I carry a jumper box as well, (mostly for jumping other boaters) some of our trips take us along way from home.
Something to think about, anyway!
