I would be happy to help you change impeller if you wish.

Loyd, I went ahead and dropped my boat off last Friday at Big Mac Marine to have them change the impeller, motor oil and LU oil. John just called me today and said my boat is ready to be picked up. Total bill is going to be $276.42. I don't think that is too bad at all and it didn't interfere with my fishing time last weekend.

No not to bad.

I am moving our toon back to Tenkiller. The Marina where we lived at Burnt Cabin just built 10 12x40 dry stalls. I have one starting Feb 1

Hey Loyd, welcome back to Lake Tenkiller. The new stalls at Burnt Cabin sound pretty nice, I haven't seen them yet. I would love to have a 12X40 stall, but guess I will keep trailering for a while yet. I hope to get up to Tenkiller to camp at Chicken Creek maybe late April or first part of May.

Just curious, how did your impeller look when you changed it out. When I had my first Evinrude 3 year service , they gave me back my old spark plugs and impeller and they all looked in really good shape. Thinking every 3 years may do it for me on the impeller change. All my boating has been in clear Tenkiller water , though, no sand, trash, or mud so that may be a factor also.

The impeller looked good but a bad one can to. Had one on a Honda go bad and it looked new. It really was new as motor was only a few months old.

The stall is $100.00 A month, not bad for new at the lake.

the whole point of tooning to me is to relax and try to put the worries on hold. I don't like running my engine if I feel there's even a possibility of an impeller failing. Jodie accidentally let the engine run for only 30 seconds one time when I was pulling the toon out of water. I was really busy at the time so I dropped it off at the local marina. It was $200 or so, but I had a more enjoyable outing next trip knowing I wouldn't be over heating and broke down. I've always changed my own since. Like most mechanical jobs, after you've done it once it's not too bad of a job (if all the body parts allow)
