Fort Wayne Boat Show 2015

#1 Post by ToonGuy » Mon Feb 16, 2015 7:36 am

Didn't take a ton of pics, the lower end stuff looked all the same as the last 2 years. Two things I noticed this year:

1 - Even though production is up with OEMs and the economy is better than a year ago, there were less top of the line toons present.

2 - Black or dark anodizing is IN! LOTS of toons with dark railing and rub rails. Sylvan even had painted tubes.

Enjoy the pics :)

I also noticed the black tubes...was told they were powder coated. Also it looks like everyone is going to a flat finish on the genuine imitation burl wood on the consoles instead of gloss. I myself prefer the gloss finish.

Was down at the Indy show this past weekend...about the same...few high end toons...lots of wake boats.
Some people try to turn back their odometers. Not me, I want people to know 'why' I look this way. I've traveled a long way and some of the roads weren't paved.

I took my wife to Boston boat show to sell her on the fish n cruise layout, everything was high end cruise/bar units $70.000 plus. and huge ocean fishers, to many rich people in Boston I guess.
