Gott a "Happy Troller" plate ? Mine made my I/O cavitate,,,

Put the "Happy Troller" plate on and took her out yesterday for the first time.... went to throttle up and get back to the ramp and it sounded like I had a stick stuck sideways in front of the prop. Lots of cavitation and changing the trim did very little to stop it,,,,WTF??

Any chance the troller plate just failed and dropped down in front of the prop? Also, there is a lot of turbulence around the prop and if any part of that troller plate assembly is in the water path even when the plate is horizontal, it is going to cause a lot of noise/drag/turbulence.

No sir it was not down or flipping around,,, stowed properly flat out... But it sure messed with something cuz I had nothing but cavitation at higher RPM's .... looks like a waist of 95 bucks to me,,, but I do have the smaller one on my fishing boat and it works like a charm
