Golden lifts look great if you have a 40' offshore racing boat and you have a fixed pier or seawall to mount them on. I would think they're very, very expensive, however.
It's kind'a overkill for a pontoon boat lift. An Ace style boat lift of 3/4 hp will well with any 2 toon boat, and a 1 hp version will do well with any tritoon boat and larger engines. Prices are $450 to $550 for such a lift. I've got two 3/4 hp Ace lifts, and they do a great job.
What gets me are PWC electric lifts that fit on the side of a dock--$2,000. I built a whole lean to mini-boathouse for my Waverunner for $450, not including the lift.
