Got the boat out today!

#1 Post by C_M_25 » Sat Mar 21, 2015 7:01 pm

Hey all! I just wanted to brag and say I got the boat out today! It was a really nice day. I met my brother in law at the lake around lunch, and he had been out there all morning on a fishing float tube. By the time I got there, he paddled all the way across the lake and couldn't get back. :donno I had to launch the boat myself for the first time. It went well.

All the gadgets I added to the boat worked flawlessly. One thing I will say is that a 30lb river anchor is a bit much. It sucked pulling that thing out of the water!! Didn't catch any fish today though. The skies never cleared and the wind was out of the north, so the fish never got active. That's what I get for listening to the meteorologists!! I was also pretty rusty at trailering the boat.

I did notice that I have to replace the tail lights on the trailer already :x They were corroded so bad from moisture that they stopped working. Oh well. Should be an easy job compared to that fishfinder :)

I hope you all are able to get out soon!

Hey, Practice makes progress, so just put the boat in and out a few dozen more times this year and get plenty of practice....

Enjoy and Safe Boating.
