Having 20 years experience in high end powder coating on aluminum and that includes Kynar, super durable and all other variations of powder like 2605 and 2606 grade, do yourself a favor and get anodized rails. Powder looks great and is very durable on certain applications but a constant wet environment isn't one of them. THEY WILL FADE...PERIOD. How long? Somewhere in the area of 5-6 years you will get UV degradation. Film build is 2 to 4 mil. Accept on corners and edges where powder struggles to adhere . There you will have less than 2mils on average.
Powder also will attract mold and mildew in some applications and is not 100% impenetrable to moisture. If it stains , you are limited to soap and water to clean. Marring ? Once it's there...it's there . There's alot of stuff to keep maintenanced on a boat as it is. Worrying about screwing up the shiny pretty coated rails and or pontoons just adds to it..
Anyway, just my two sense and 20 plus years of experience worth from the real Gods
Country..The Sooner Nation .Go Sooners!!!. However, it's not my money or my boat. You gotta do what you feel is best for you.

Thank you for the information concerning the rails. We actually looked at bentleys and sun trackers yesterday. After kicking the tires on both of them, we are leaning toward the sun tracker 22 XP3 with a 150 merc. it's shorter than the 24 Bentley we were looking at, but we like the layout better; for us. We really like the feel of the sun tracker. Plan on calling around Tuesday to see if anyone in my area has one with a full vinyl floor, if not we may have to order one. Anybody have any information on sun tracker? Looks like they have a 10 year bow to stern warranty now... I know I will loose my negotiating power with them, but hopefully I can catch a gift card promo.
