I'm with you Craig...toon on hold for an inside the house project. Need a secure location to store the noise makers

Thanks, making things is my hobby so instead of running bars and chasing women, the wife said I could have a shop. That way, she knows where I'm at.

Last weekend, went for a motorcycle trip but got to do a little more on the boat. Nephew and I pulled new wires. The OEM wiring was a single pair of 16ga that ran up to the console from the battery. Every ground was wire nutted to that one single wire which would explain all the trouble I would see when I would turn on the live well or lights and see the battery voltage drop to 10V. I expected this so now there is 10ga pair supplying power and home run grounds to each circuit.

Also spent a little time at the welding table building a electronics mount for the console. Believe I'll send it and the speaker mounts out for powder coating in black.

Weather has bee too wet to work but a pause in the rain allowed us to make a little progress.

I made a template and drill the pod with three mounting choices 2.5" apart. After looking it over, decieded to mount to the rear most location.

Also took this opportunity to re-make my trolling motor mount. First one I made was out of 2" angle aluminum and pop riveted together. It served well for almost 15 years but was bend a little from hard landings on the trailer.

This should be a little more robust.

Next on the list is mount the motor, rest of the playpen with spacer blocks added and put the console back together. If it would just stop raining on my weekends.
