Adjusting Trailer Bunks

#1 Post by LadyGT » Sun Mar 29, 2015 3:13 am

A friend came by and suggested we adjust 2 of the guides on the boat trailer to make loading easier. My concern is what if we find rust where the original plates were located? Also, since we want modifications, should we have the dealer do it for us so we are not blamed for anything which will void the 1 year warranty?

Shouldn't be an issue. Move them within an inch or 2 from toons.

Like Lakerunner said, it shouldn't be much of an issue, especially with as new as your trailer is. There may be some surface rust stains from the bolts that hold the guides to the trailer, but they should come right off with a cleaner wax, or even an automotive claybar.
