The first ad you listed looked pretty good until you consider all your passengers. As for the Expedition, I saw a tow hitch, but didn't see a tow package.
Get the VIN numbers and look them up here

You'll see the original sticker of the vehicle, so you can see what you're really getting. Then run the numbers on Edmunds, NADA, or one of the others.
This^^^ +1
Depending on these answers, you'll know whether or not it's a good deal.
As far as the vehicles though, I'm partial to Fords. I've owned 18, currently own three. We averaged 350,000 miles on the vans before trading/selling them. Pickups have always been 200,000 plus. My current 07 Super Crew F-150 has 100,000 on it and I wouldn't trade it off on a bet.

The ecoboost sucks on mileage. I only get 15 highway driving. My last had the V8 and right at 20 highway

When we were looking for a tow vehicle we were not sure which brand to buy. We live within a 20 minute ride of the local fair grounds. We went down their to see what the ranchers were using to pull their stock. The majority of parked trucks were Fords so that is what we went with. Our F-250 is a 4-door crew cab and I love it. Rides well when towing a 29' travel trailer.

Hello All.
Thank you all for your help and suggestions. I appreciate all of your comments and support. In talking more with my wife Annemarie, my friend who owns a local repair shop who knows out Pilot and not hearing back from the guy selling the Expedition EL... We have decided to stay with our Pilot for now. Thanks for all your help... We did order a brand new OEM roof rack for the Pilot

!! Thanks again...
Sincerely,
Rich

I currently own a 2005 F150 Supercrew, 5.4 2wd, with 233,xxx miles and just purchased a new 2014 with pretty much same set up 2 months ago. The only reason I purchased the 2014 is due to the body change on the 2015 taking away some foot room. I plan on leaving the 2014 parked and driving my 2005 until I no longer trust it. I would have no problems getting into the truck and driving it anywhere.
The 2014 seems to be getting about 23mpg on the highway.
I think you should look at new 2014's. The prices you are looking at on CL seem fair, but not any bargains. I cannot see what trim packages the vehicles have.

I'm not saying let's go kill all the stupid people.. I'm just saying let's remove all the warning labels and let the problem work itself out.
