Headed to Texas

#1 Post by greghvac » Sun May 24, 2015 7:56 pm

I will be headed to Texas for work (new job). Not sure what part. I will be there for two weeks training. It is looking like June 8th I will have weekend free. So I would like to meet some of you Texas people for a beer. I will post where I will be at as soon as I get all the info.
Should be out on the lake.

From Orange, TX to El Paso's just about 900 miles. Let'em know where you'll be, as Texas is a big place.

It's really 4 states with one state government that has a legislature that only meets every other year. Everything works better in Texas than all the blue states.

Welcome to Tx--We like it here, hope you do--
But is different than Illinois, in so many ways.
If you lean on the liberal side, Austin and Denton seems to go that way a lot--
Hate to bring up the politics here, but I hate it when folks come from up north and then try to change it to the "way it was north".
Summers are way different also, but the winters are great, according to where you land you can boat year round, I dress appropriately and catfish year round.
But again--Welcome!

I often wonder if Jimmy really did crack corn, and why should I care?
