prop help needed

I never knew choosing a prop would be so mind numbing...lol, a lot more technical than one would think....need help choosing prop for 2002 22' crest pontoon w/ 2002 Mercury 90hp 2 stroke motor ...cant make out part number on existing prop has been sitting and is corroded and in very bad shape...any help would be appreciated

That and info from others in here should help you nail down a good initial guess.

thanks for response, that Mercury page is what started my confusion, my results ended with 4 choices ...all different pitches....14, 16 and two 15s..some 3 blade some 4.....not sure how that can happen lol

You need to know the pitch of your prop now and you should be able to nail it. Merc will give you different choices for 4 blade or 3 blade. I run 3 blade so I ignore the 4 blade recommendations.

If you don't know your pitch, that calculator will not get you close enough.

14, 15 and 16 sounds like a lot of pitch for that set up. Maybe with your WOT RPM someone could give you a starting point.

WOT RPM is 5000-5500

the numbers on the prop (i think) i can make out are 4877 8(?) 1(?) 2A4 5(?)15(?)
