Question for Shark hide Application

Have a question regarding coverage rate for Shark hide. Boat is a 23 foot South Bay tritoon. Applying to outside of outer tooons, nosecones of all three and a couple feet of the back of all three. Basically what is visible.

So far two coats applied and I think have enough left in the first quart to apply another coat. Does that application rate seem reasonable? Too heavy or to light?

Sounds about right to me. I could never get past all the cleaning with lacquer thinner to get the black oxide out of the welding slag and all the cracks.

Sharkhide on my boat just smudged and smudged.

Brad, I did 3 boats with 2 cans. Still have about 1/2 a quart left. The same way, outsides of the outside toons, all 3 nosecones and in about 2 feet. I think you are fine, too! The nice thing about the Sharkhide is, next year, just go right over it again with one coat. It will re-new the shine and look great. Congrats on the new boat, buddy!

Our Berkshire 233 is basically the same hull as yours...... We had it acid washed, and Sharkhide applied with two coats in the same locations as you did. I took the guy who did it, 2 quarts. He used all of one and about 5% of the second can.

Thanks for the help guys! Coat 3 is on and have just a bit left from one quart. Looking forward to getting it in water Friday.

.Bryan how do you like the Yamaha 300? We looked at a boat with 250 SHO and he offered to go to either a 300 or add the upgrade module to the SHO to make it around 300. We decided to go with boat we bought since we liked it a little better and the Suzuki SS 250 was custom painted to match boat. Will always wonder about that 300 though.

No problems with it so far! Has a lot of low end torque and runs really good! Gets better fuel economy than the old Verado. Probably not as quiet as the Verado was. But with the rear center walk through seating, its really open so its kind of deceiving. I do miss that supercharger whine! All in all, so far so good, Brad!

I've also done 3 boat trailers, my Prowlers trailer, coated an outside fire ring and coated 4 aluminum wheels with Sharkhide. It makes your boat trailers shed the water right off and super easy to keep clean and keeps them from fading when they sit outside. Sharkhide suntan lotion for trailers!
