Prop help for similar/same setup.....

2013 Sweetwater 2286. Strakes, Yamaha F115 four stroke swinging Ballistic 13 1/2 X17. Smooth, calm day, got some test data in. WOT 5200 RPM=31 MPH. Normal load, 2 adults, 22 gal fuel. On my third hub in as many weeks (spun yet another one today after test) and "appears" I am a bit over pitched. Will be cruising mostly with occasional tube pull and probably a few more adults. Will NOT be using a pressed hub prop again. Looking for Brand, size and pitch. What has been successful and where best to purchase.

Yamaha does offer the stainless pontoon prop in a 15 pitch for that engine, same exact prop as the Turbo Pontoon 1 series. I had the 13 pitch on my 70hp 4 stroke suzuki and it was a good all around prop. 31mph @ 5200 = 25% slip and I think you could get it down to the 12-15% range and speed up to 33-34mph since you have strakes. The Solas Titan is another large 3 blade available for your engine and that's what I currently run on my DF140 in a 17 pitch, lots of grip and no issues with blowing out while aggressively pulling tubes (I have a tritoon though). I've never had an issue with a pressed hub spinning out so I really don't know why your having so many go bad . Maybe your engine is too far below its powerband @ wot that it may be creating too much heat and cooking the rubber? I will say that I HAVE NOT had a square bore stainless prop on a midsize case engine that didn't rattle/chatter somewhat and its kinda of annoying at trolling speed.
