I use Mean Green from Dollar General. Spray it on, wait one minute, then wipe off.
Amazing stuff.

Does Awesome and Mean Green work well against mildew stains?

I had a butt cushion that had mold the only thing that worked was a combo of Mean Green then came back with white vinegar and magic eraser.
Next day I put 303 on it.

the vinegar will kill it and mean green will clean it off. Some also use a combo of vinegar and baking soda. I didn't think to try that this time, maybe next time.

I live in the high desert, so mold really isn't much of a concern. I started cleaning beer taps professionally at age 12 and took the tap service/food service over right out of high school when my dad became terminal. I expanded it and sold it 10 years later. We used to use TSP to clean beer lines for years. Painters have also used it since paint was invented it think. You can wash down a dirty wall and many times it will look like you just painted it. I would think it would be very effective on mold. You'll find it in the paint section of home improvement store

That's the stuff. It's not as good as it was in the old day's as most states have banned phosphates. Most all automatic dishwasher chemicals used to have had phosphate too. Part of the reason dishwashers "don't clean like they used to" is because it's almost impossible to find detergent with phosphate. I guess it really is bad for the water because it if I recall doesn't breakdown.

That look like it is essentially baking soda, which is bicarbonate of soda. And the TSP has an extra salt.
Interesting, wonder how good it works.

*edited cause i didn't make any sense the first time. :lol3

Ya, but I wonder if the stuff he shows on the package of the current TSP would do that? Two completely different compounds.

newer stuff is sodium sesquicarbonate - Na3H(CO3)2

Old stuff is trisoduim phosphate - Na3PO4

Somebody buy some and see.
