The biggest benefit of a Magma is being windproof. The Tracker BBQ that came with our toon would not stay lit in the slightest wind. Sometimes I think about getting another bracket for our home deck, the large 6 burner pos home unit has the same issue

i have the spring field rig as well. when not in use i store it under the helm. i also throw some pieces of comercial carpet under it for any stray grease droppings. so far no troubles..and yes you have to screw the base into your deck, but it is really low to the ground, sticks up maybe 3/4 of an inch. no body has tripped or stubbed their toes on it yet. its mounted in the front corner of the boat

I caught a break in the weather today and got my grill mounted. Still have a small table thing to make to go under it.
