Shoot! I never drop any oil on the ground. I commandeered the grandson's WalMart swimming pool, and I just put it under the motor and outdrive.

The main thing when draining oil AND lower unit grease is to have a clean drain pan with an open top so you can look for shavings and evidence of any water intrusion.

Not dropping oil when changing the oil on the ground is not the problem. I was worried about doing it on a buoyed boat. Random waves, rotating boat from the wind, and swimmers watching for an oil slick. :biggrin2 Way easier than I imagined.
