South Bay vs. Xcursion?

Yes but it really does not appear (at least based on my initial discussions with the dealer) that there is that much difference in all three. Looks like (again, just at first glance) you can basically option all three brands up or down to equal the other brand (i.e. load up a South Bay 500 to equal an Xcursion Model C).

I don't know the history of any of these boats. Did South Bay and Xcursion and Berkshire exist before Warren Buffet bought/rescued them? If so, and they were independent, then the 3 lines make perfect sense because you would have had separate dealer agreements.

None of this is going to sway my decision between South Bay or Xcursion, just idle curiosity.

South Bay used to be Oddysey Pontoons. After the bail out, Berkshire was introduced. Xcursion has only been available for 2, maybe 3 model years I believe...

yep, Xcursion models are a new line of pontoons. they may use some of the parts from South Bay, I'm not sure.

I have the xcursion 23xrfc rear fishing center and love it. It is comparable to the South Bay 700 series have the 23 foot 115 Yamaha with 4 adult and full gear runs 21 mph

what are your rpm's with this load???

sounds like you are a little off..... Last year I hit 20 with my heavy has 20 year old party barge with 8 people and 2 coolers...

not saying anything is wrong just seems off some.

BTW mine isn't running this year, well until Saturday
