pontoon performance question

update,
just returned from lake. i purchased a 6 in. jack plate and raised the motor 2 1/2 inches with a fair load 4 adults, 2 small children,2 ice chest
with food and drinks for everyone we ran 25.1 mph. one quick run (not a good run water starting to get rough) with load similar to original
run we hit 27.1 mph. so i don't think was a bad move for 165 dollars.can now cruise at lower rpm.
