When we bought our SunTracker, the salesman told me not to even try using a pump or vacuum cleaner on any of the outlets. They both draw too many amps for the circuits.

So I did have a blown fuse. It's a 10amp fuse so I replaced it with the spare on the fuse block. (nice of them to put one there). My phone charger still won't work though so I'm going to bring another charger next week and see if that's messed up. My phone charges fine back at the house. I think I might have had two things happen that were unrelated. The blown fuse and the bad phone charger.

Just to test if it was the pump I tried it and it blew the fuse right away. I guess I'll hook something directly to the battery. Now off to buy fuses......:-)

kryptonite wrote:Those air pumps pull big amps. I'd say at least 15 amps. Most power outlets only have like 5-10 amp fuses on them. I wired a quick 2 prong hook up direct to the battery (with a 30 amp inline fuse at the battery).
^ This.
A marine grade outlet with a cover preferably spring loaded so it will close for you.
I mounted my outlet in the compartment with the battery, hook up is with alagator style clamps with inline fuse.

I used a trolling motor plug to run my bait tank.

Ordered a new plug last night. Nice marine grade plug with cover. Gonna hook it up this weekend.

Thanks for all the ideas and advice. You folks are the best!
