Re: Waiver of Depreciation - GOTTA GET YOU SOME!!!
Is anyone able to get this waiver if your motor is over 5 years old? We dug through our policy and it has "agreed upon amount" for the replacement value of the boat - we put this value at the amount we paid for the used boat. But there is a clause that says the motor will be depreciated. So Kim called the insurance guy and he told her that he can't find anyone that will do full replacement of our motor that is older than 5 years -- ours is a 2003.

Would the correct term be "Yachtoon"? Sounds like you're chewing, and need a place to spit.robster wrote:I got mine today, cost was $49 more to get the waiver of depreciation, I was paying $185 for 12 months now I'm paying $234 for a $36K boat. They canceled our old policy and wrote up a new "Yacht" policy, for our pontoon "yacht".
