That was freakin awesome! Nice job!

Now I gotta get me one of those quadcopters. I looked on Amazon and was really surprised to see some nice units with HD camera for under $100.

With most quads, they are flown FPV (first person view) using a monitor or in most cases cell phone via a wifi link to the quad and you see what the camera on the quad sees. If you notice in the video he keeps looking down at the controller where the phone is clipped on to. It takes practice, but after a bit, it's easier to fly by FPV than line of sight.
Thank your for that !!!! :alright :alright :alright

Dji claims the Phantom 2 quadcopter max flight time is 25 minutes however I have only experienced about 20 at best. The quad will fly 30mph with no wind. I have gotten it to 37mph with a tail wind. Thanks for the nice comments and I truly enjoy both boating and aerial photography. I will surely have more photos and videos to share come spring and summer time. Thanks again!

I can see you making some good money filming people boating in the future, you can get the side and rear view of the kids skiing or on the tubes, give some family memory's they can talk about and see :thumbsup :thumbsup :thumbsup

I get about 15 minutes on my AR_Drone and it's WIFI controlled from IPad. Drone has two cameras forward and bottom. Still it does take skill to stay in camera view when close up.
Hawk in area that doesn't like the drone hoping maybe someday catching him real close buzzing it.
I would need a lot more practice to get the results you did. GREAT JOB!

Stunning video, so professionally done!

How long have you been flying the quadcopter BEFORE you got the nerve to try it over water?
