Well I ended up going a whole different direction to fix it in a way that was cheap, easy, and convenient. All the screws that were holding the molding I ended up taking them out. Then i took a drill bit and drilled holes in the molding big enough to allow the head of the screw that was holding it to pass thru it. Put the screws back in the holes but did not snugg them up so the molding would fit over the heads of the screws and them act like a key-hole attachment...worked like a charm!!! I can post picture if it clears it up in your head at all... :smoke
