Why not just buy 2 or even 3 tubes with the inboard motor niche and run it that way.

Quit screwing around. Three V8s would make a bad ass tritoon.

Personally I would run three 350 outboards if I was that crazy but I like outboards.

What I'd really like to know is in the structrual diffences such as: number of stringers, spacing, type of materials used, and any other major factor that allows them to rate the boat for twins.

I bet it's a lot less different than you think. Give me a few weeks and I'll get you some dirt...

OK, so I kinda forgot about this thread till me & my buddy were talking today. Here is what I came up with. On this particular model the side "keel" on the outside tubes does not go all the full length. I'm guessing that's an option, but some in the rear is standard. This one also has an additional keel welded just inside the strakes on the outter tubes, full length. Looks like standard 16" O.C. spacing for the cross memebers, and the fully welded rear sub floor (all South Bay TriToons have a welded rear sub floor). If you look at the one side shot with out the rub rail you can see the solid tube running rearward from front to back. That is where the full welded rear sub frame starts. Check the photos...

The guy on Vermilion with the Twin Suzuki 300 on a 10x30 Premier runs his fairly often, We were running in 5.7L powered 22.5' Lund Baron @ 50mph and he over took us by a good 10-15mph. My grandpa's neighbor who knows that said that guy has been tweaking the mega toon trying to get 70mph out of it, best run of 69 empty so far. It sucks down 46gph @ WOT! that would kill my tank in under 30 minutes!

Vermillion is just down the road and on my radar for a trailer run. I'm gonna have to find that guy and give him a run for his money if I ever get the damn boat finished. No doubt I will get smoked, but whaddya expect from a houseboat?
