Duck problems

Anyone having a problem with Ducks or birds this season? I'm having a tough time with ducks this summer hanging out on front of my toon. I made the mistake of leaving the mooring cover off on Friday to let the carpet air out for the upcoming weekend. Saturday when I went over to tinker on it I was unpleasantly surprised to see that they had been inside the fencing and left me a big nasty present.
Anyone have any good ideas or gadgets to keep them away?

You could throw a few of the toys I've made over the last few day getting ready for the fourth, makes all kinds of noise, but you have to be a member of a Pyro Guild to make them, but you can buy a salute cannon

Or even better, louder and you can bolt it to the dock, golf ball launcher

LOL, looks good... but I would probably put a hole in my boat or seriously hurt myself.

No you just shoot bread, and I like the one you can bolt down, be fun on the front of the toon when jet ski gets to close, but then you might piss off the nieghbors who are feeding the birds off your dock :rofl :rofl :rofl

I helped build a 100 four inch shells for our part in the PGI show in Indianda this but won't get to make it unless the lotto gods shit on me :rofl :rofl :rofl

Money been to tight the last 10 years in Florida so the only vacation I get is a week in Kentucky for family reunion every July, even then I'm working my butt off, we sell over six thousand dollars worth to pay for what we shoot at the family show, most people say we beat the local towns shows and to see ours.

Then I'm still learning to make shells, the hard part is making every thing that goes inside, we make our own black powder, stars,, but salutes are easy to start with, but you have to be careful as even a three inch salute shell can kill you.

Have a 16 inch go off on ya, even where I'm standing taking the picture and they will never find any of you, you go out in a bang !

When I kept my old 24 in a wet slip we would get ducks onboard, even had them make a nest once. I got several of the silver/chrome mylar balloons and cut them into 1x8 strips and hung several dozen strips around the boat utilising the dock frame and nylon twine. Never had another duck on the boat.

I hit a duck 2 weeks ago, went right thru the front door. busted the panel loose from the frame, and bent the frame. JT

I took 4x1 boards and put nails through them and laid them down with the pointy side up on the areas of my deck the ducks seemed to like to hang out on. That did the trick.

Some ACME Duck-B-Gone will work great, just don't stand too close when you light the fuse. Doesn't work so well on roadrunners.
