Just seeing if they are a good boat in general. The only pontoon I have ever been on was a crestII and I loved it but haven't found one around here. Found a triton for good price, but didn't know anything abt them

Tritoon is the only way to go. They ride totally different from a two toon boat. I would suggest you go for a ride on both and make up your mind from that.

Triton I don't think is made any more. If I am right they were branded by one of the bass boat builders.

Your best bet is what you've done here, ask if anybody else has one, and then go spend some time on the internets looking up random articles from people who have owned them..

My next door neighbor has a Triton pontoon boat with a 115 hp Mercury 4 stroke. I would say it's a nice mid-line boat. They should be fancy enough for just about anyone--relative to the cost.

With all the mergers in the boating business, Triton pontoons were caught in the middle.

Triton bass boats are now being built side by side their big competitor, Ranger boats--in Flippen, Arkansas. I have a Bassmaster Elite fisherman friend, and he flipped out when he was in Flippen to pickup his new Ranger and saw Tritons being built. They're really popular fishing boats, however.
