Need offer idea, please help newbie.

What would you pay for it if you had a lower budget and wanted to get into tooning. Floor is original but solid as can be, everything else pretty new. Thanks!

I was thinking around that but wanted to make sure it was worth it. I know new trailer and 2 yr. old motor is around 7k so I think that is pretty good price.

I would offer $7,000 you can always go up a little if you have to. If you have cash then show him the money and watch what he does, cash is king.

What year is that motor? From the picture it looks older but I could be wrong.

Looks to be in decent shape. Has a dent in uthe fence on the rear. Take it to a Yamaha mech before you give him any money and have the motor checked out. If all ok then it should be a good deal if you can get it for less than $8k.

I agree with above that engione looks older than 2010. make sure it was purchased NEW in 2010, not just purchased in 2010. Also that it has a TOTAL of 50 hrs not 50 hrs since they purchased it.

All in all if it what they say I would think anything around 7 thou is a good deal, 7-8 thou is a fair deal.

Obviously have mechanic check engine, and inspect toons. Other than that there is not much else that can go wrong that cant be fixed easily.

He said he bought it new in 2010. I thought the same thing, but apparently not.

Ask to see the invoice and any others related to the toon. I would assume the motor is fully paid, but check it out to be safe.

Looks like a real nice toon tho. :thumbsup :thumbsup

Yep, confirmed motor is a 2010 and he has the receipts for it, also the "dent" is just a wrinkle, the skirting is actual PTC, not metal (this was replaced when everything else was.)

Motor is a 2 stroke. that is why it looks older. 4 strokes are more rounded.
Just make sure you have a Yamaha mech ck it out.

FYI, I have that same outboard. In '04 you could buy them for right around $5.500 new.
