I was just washing the boat up. Yea I know its a little late in the season but I don't have a ton of free time.
I was noticing there is a screw on the lower unit that says "Wash". What is the purpose of this screw?
Next, there is a black hose barb coming out of the upper part of the lower unit. Is this to supose to have a hose on it?
Please let me know.
Thanks
Jim

That's probably where the hose to a mechanical speedometer connects if it looks like it fits 1/8ID hose.
