Got up early to get the yard work done and the laundry started. Launched the toon at about 10:00. Cruised the River. Took a few dips. Saw some nice boats, a couple of friends and beautiful scenery. Pulled off about 2:00. Back at home at 2:30.
Air Temp 112*
Water temp 70*
Light breeze.
Good times.
Only down side is we have to finish the laundry now.

70 degree water's sure cold for Arizona--with the air so hot @ 112 degrees.
But, your 112 degrees is without humidity. We saw 111 degrees road temperature on a trip 10 days ago for 200 miles, and the humidity made it steamy and miserable.

Send me some of that cold water. 4" Water temp Friday was 94.5 degrees. Air temps have been over 100 for several days.

boatcop... glad you got to go out and have a little r and r on the toon.... my wife and I have been out of town for the past two weekends so we were determined to take the toon out this weekend... saturday was out of the question, yard work, errands, other committments... sunday forecast called for 20 mph winds and a 40 % chance of storms, but it was so sunny..... so we went and got the boat and hit the launch... no sooner had we pulled up to our favorite little fishing hole I hear a roar of thunder... look to my west and the sky is black.... we never even tied up, turned around and headed back to the launch and just as we got there those 20 mph winds kicked in... a bit of a pain to get her on the trailer ( took 2 times ) with the wind blowing.... just as we got our boat back in the storage building the skies opened up.... so what was supposed to be a 4 or 5 hour late afternoon on the boat ended up being a 30 minute little to and from trip... good thing is we did run the boat after sitting up for several weeks and anytime on the water is better than no time...

Roland, I bet you are glad you have the boat closer to the launch now. We have been having that hit and miss weather down here too.

Just did my water sample for the state and the Estero River was 29.5 C (85F) at 0645, a foot underwater

On a "Perfect Sunday", I would have added one more activity.

lawn mowing? fence painting? dog washing.. definately washing the dog...
Water temps here (at the rear/bottom of my pontoon) was 76°f-78°f depending on which side of the lake you were on and temps were in the mid 80's last Thursday.
FWIW, my Sunday involved sleeping in until 10a (after being woke up at 1a by my 2yr old), lunch with my wife, son, and father-in-law, then rounding up my daughter from her cousin's where she had a sleep over. A 1.5hr drive to Fargo then grocery shopping. Drive home another 1/2hr, then talking to the neighbor about buying hay for the horses. Finally putting identification numbers on the pontoon (bought on 4/30/2012) nailing up a new cover to keep birds out of the attic, grilling dinner, mowing the pasture and shelter belt.... NOT a perfect Sunday but it was very productive...

Ponch... oh man, you are sooooo right.... I really had a hard time talking myself into paying the increased cost at the new storage building.. but now I'm so glad I moved the boat... and while it does cost me more on a monthly basis, I'm saving approx. 10 bucks in fuel every time I go get the boat compared to what it cost me before... not to mention I seem to be using the boat a bit more........really glad we made the move...

I agree!
Took the family down to the lake for some camping and boating. While on vacation, democracy rules....needless to say I didn't get to get out on the boat. Seems as though everyone had other plans for my time. Thats ok, I'll get to it this weekend!
