YDIS scan

I finally got a few minutes to play with my Yamaha diagnostic software.
It is pretty cool but I guess having it will insure I never have a problem that I need it to fix. (ain't that always the way)
I am only $100 in this from Sharkey's marine on Ebay and the software is cracked so anyone can install it (no activation key).
The cable looks like a garden variety automotive OBDII cable with a 3 wire adapter to get to the Yamaha connector. That Yamaha connector may be the only piece of unobtainium in the whole thing.
I can zip the software and put it up if anyone wants to experiment with this.
My scan today

This is only for he computer driven EFI models.
I put the manual up on my web page so you can see what it is all about
This is a big file.

Being a computer junky and a do it myselfer I like the looks of that! Unfortunately the pdf will not open correctly I will have to find a real computer (using my blackberry tablet now). Do you know if it will work with a Merchant Optimax (2-stroke) EFI
Thanks,

The software will run on just about any old PC you have laying around that runs XP or Vista. Obviously a laptop is best but if you are on a trailer next to your house a desktop on a tool cart is still viable. This is something you are not using that often so it is not really going to have to be set up all the time. I just bought a used laptop from Tiger that I put it on but this is really going to be my vacation machine. The Dell I have been carrying around for the last few years is getting pretty tired (bad display, bad USB ports). It is pretty nice tho to be able to hook up the machine to the hotel TV and stream free movies from HBO Go instead of paying $15 each for the ones on the hotel system.
I can also get the pictures off my camera on the road.

Greg--how did your engine RPM range times jive with what you expected? I think if I were to do mine it would also show the bulk of the hours in the 1-2K range. What's the max RPM range at WOT for your motor?

I was not surprised at all. That is what we do. The manatees have a lot to do with that.
Max RPM is 6300 but I am propped closer to 5800
