Boat loaded

We got my boat out and on the trailer, covered and parked. The lake is scheduled to be dropped starting monday. It will drop about 4" a day until the 7' drop is completed. I guess that's it for me this year. I don't want to trailer to anywhere else. We also set his house boat in a level area and staked it out so it would not be in the way when the lake drops.. Damn it was hot getting all this done but it's done.

Our lake has been invaded by Giant Salvania and they are lowering it again in order to control it. They have tried this sense 2008 and has done no good. They were spraying it and it was working ( I have seen no Salvania this year) but the governor said it was too expensive so they quit spraying at the end of June. Now they say the north end of the lake is covered with it again. So they will lower it and tell us they can't get to it to spray it without enough water in the lake. Do you see a pattern here, I do.

We also pulled our pontoon out Sunday, Jim. Everyone I know is pissed about the lowering since there is not that much salvinia in the bottom half of the lake. Seems like they could have waited until after Labor Day.

It's good to hear from you again. How are you fully recovered from your wreck yet.
