Not your typical "should I add a 3rd toon" question....
but, the wife found the link below on Craigslist and wanted to know yout thoughts/opinions and wondered if anyone had one of these installed. If it were a good idea, we would look into it since it would allow us more options. (we are still looking for our 1st toon)
We could buy a 2 toon boat and add this....if yall think its good.
Thoughts appreciated!

No experience with one, but you can buy them new for a similar price..

I have read some postings on guys that installed them and had probems. The ride becomes a lot rougher but it gives your toon more weight capacity. One owner had to keep adjusting it back and forward to get the desired result. I would take a third toon that is a tried and proven product.

Think if you did a search there are some threads here on them. It did seem like there were adjustment problems either too far forward or to the rear.

You wouldn't be referring to moi would you??

I only had to mount mine three times

Once I got it 'tuned' properly, it rocked!
My ride only became marginally stiffer. I would expect anything that adds horizontal surface to increase the 'feel' of the waves. At the risk of stepping on some toes around here, I would venture that even a set of strakes would have to add a small amount of slam.
I did pick up a large amount of speed, especially when I cranked up the HP. Final figure was 36 MPH on the GPS with an eTec175. Not bad for a boat with an 8x8 wheelhouse. I'm just in the process of documenting that whole trip under 'Al the Mirthmaker' thread.
All in all, the thing worked great! Not a lot of added flotation, but not bad. Hit the gas and the boat would lift up just like a regular boat and plane like a regular boat. A ton of work tho for what I ended up with.
As Margarita man said, I am switching to a triple tube and suggest you consider that as well. I see the WG people jacked up their prices a bit too. LVjayhawk15, don't hesitate to contact me if you have any questions.
