They didn't say, but it looks like Tooned In's South Bay.

Playcraft's twin Whipple charged boat only did 92. But the day is still young.

I'll be working on one of the patrol boats tomorrow, but my camera sucks for long distance shots. Just have to store it in memory (LOL!).

Playcraft had motor troubles with that ride last year...wonder if they got it sorted out yet?

Poor Dorris's just can't seem to get up to speed. They can only get into the low 90's

Ken Gouty (?) from Illinois did 102 in his Whipple chargd pontoon.

I figured it had to be shootout weekend. I have a good view of I-55 from the window at work (South of Springfield a bit). Mid to late week I saw several boats heading that way...

When the 25' 3 engine tritoon reached 112 mph, his nose must have gone up to a 35 degree angle. The bow almost exchanged ends with the rear end--like a tunnel hull boat flying. Somehow he held it together.

And the boat looked like it had a full interior. His side door was flopping around, however. He was much, much faster than most of the Cigarette type boats.

There was a Cigarette boat with 5 350 Verado's on the back end, but I don't know if they raced. I missed yesterday and today I worked on a shuttle boat. Weather came in and kind of shut things down for a bit and we were released early because there were hardly any spectator boats that had to be corralled.

Nah it was just for show. It was the new 42 foot Huntress center console model.
